Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1997 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from music blogs as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her best-known songs. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering a piano in her attic and becoming enthralled by the sounds it would produce. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but for growth. The Aksnes family encouraged her to compose. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. Her mother had told her that her songs can not only aid in her efforts to gain fame, however, they could also help others understand their value in the world and realize what can be done with the songs She decided to start performing publicly. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started creating music when she was nine. It was unknown to her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. She claims that she simply loves writing music. According to her, she believes that music can help any person feel better.
